Liz Hobbs MBE Liz Hobbs

When Terri first wrote to me and asked for my support with a building project that didn’t really exist I have to admit I wondered exactly whether her dream could ever possibly come true. For those of you who know Terri better than I did at that time, then you’ll know just how wrong I was. But she was persistent and when we got together how could I ever turn her down!!!
Every now and then you meet someone with a total passion for something. I had a passion for my waterskiing and nothing was going to stand in my way from reaching the top at some point in my life. Terri has that same ‘killer instinct’ to succeed. Along the way you have to make sacrifices and she does, you have to work hard and she does, you have to not give up where others wouldn’t even bother to start and she does, and so from a little acorn Terri’s dream has become a great big reality of an oak tree and I am very proud to say I support her and Hope House 100%.
For those of you who don’t know too much about the school, it’s facilities and potential to help youngsters with very specific needs then it’s worth taking the time to explore what Terri and her team have achieved. This is a service that is so desperately needed in our county and I am delighted to be associated in helping to raise awareness and funds for such a worthwhile project.
